Henry Cardenas is proud to be currently exhibiting in premiere shows with the Invitational Alamo Kiwanis Charity Art Show, San Antonio, and Spring Bull Gallery, Newport, RI. He is a Resident Artist at Little Studio Gallery in La Villita where he maintains a continuing exhibition of his exciting paintings and unique sculptures. He is also represented by The Adobe Fine Art, Ruidoso, New Mexico, and Anasazi Gallery, Santa Fe, New Mexico. Cardenas is an award-winning artist in many venues, is a native of and resides in San Antonio, and earned his MBA in Business Administration from St. Mary’s University.
Cardenas is one of twelve Texas artists selected as “Texas’ Premiere Contemporary Artists” who exhibited two times in the Smithsonian Affiliate, the Institute of Texan Cultures-UTSA from 2010-2014. The University of Texas at San Antonio has twenty two of his paintings and sculptures in their permanent art collection. Cardenas has been featured in publications such as the prestigious New York magazine: Fine Art Connoisseur, Texas Highways Magazine, Travel Host, the Children’s Hospital-Christus Santa Rosa Foundation magazine, the CC Magazine (Corpus Christi, Tx), and The Art Lovers’ Cookbook.
Cardenas has exhibited four times in the annual Invitational at the San Antonio Art League and Museum (San Antonio’s oldest museum) as recently as November-December 2015. He has had thirteen annual solo exhibits in March each year at The Bijou Theatre Gallery. Cardenas has exhibited numerous times at The Art Center of Corpus Christi, including the VSA Texas Wounded Warriors juried show in 2015 and an Art Center juried show November 2016.
